    Mark your calendar: Next SYHA Board Meeting Tuesday, November 11th at 6 pm

    All Players must be registered

    Our hockey season has begun for our House, Cross Ice, Travel teams and Snow Leopard programs.  All players in these programs must be registered before heading onto the ice!

    All players must be registered with both USA Hockey and SYHA before attending practices.

    REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN FOR ALL LEVELS

    All players must be register with USA Hockey and SYHA prior to the start of the season.

    USA Hockey Level 1 Coaching Clinic being offered in Saugerties on December 14th

    The USA Hockey Level 1 Coaching Clinic will be offered in Saugerties on Sunday, December 14th from 9 am to 3 pm at our Kiwanis Ice Arena! This clinic is required for all coaches who currently do not hold any hockey coaching certifications.

    To register, please visit www.usahockey.com, click on the COACHES tab, then click on Coaching Clinics, scroll down to "Start Here:Coaching Clinic Search", in Clinic Level, choose "CEP Level 1" from drop down menu, type in Saugerties for CITY and the clinic should appear to allow you to register.

    If this date will not work with your schedule, you can choose CEP Level 1, then State: NY and it will display other Level 1 Clinics being offered in NY state.

    Please take note, all coaches need to complete their level certifications by December 31st to continue to coach on the ice. The coaching education requirements include both the level coaching clinic and the required online age-specific module. All this information is given on the USA Hockey website.

    SYHA still accepting COACHING APPLICATIONS

    The SYHA is still accepting coaching applications for all our programs. 

    If you are interested in coaching, please email the following information to our ACE Coordinator, Brian Barnes at bbarnes001@hvc.rr.com

    Name, Email Address, Phone number,

    Desired Coaching Position, USA Hockey Coaching Certification Level and most recent coaching experience

    Learn to Skate Hockey for Tots
    An introduction to the game of ice hockey for toddlers aged 2 to 5.  Emphasis will be on skating and having lots of fun!   Head instructor Ed Montalbano will again be leading this class.
