Try Hockey for Free Event--October 6TH 11:00am-12:00pm
The only thing more adorable than a puppy is watching your child in full hockey gear learning to skate!
All Children ages 5-10 are invited to join Saugerties Youth Hockey for a TRY HOCKEY FOR FREE event. Equipment and skate rentals are all free. If equipment is needed please arrive at 9:30am. Our hockey volunteers will assist in proper sizing and wearing of all hockey equipment. Every player will receive a USA Hockey jersey and gift.
Our top coaches will be on the ice to assist your child in learning the basics. Your son or daughter does not need any previous skating or hockey experience.

2024/2025 Junior Rangers Learn to Play Program - Registration is OPEN !!!!
Do you have a child that wants to learn to play hockey? There's still time to join the Junior Rangers Learn to Play program, and registration is still open.
Once again Saugerties Youth Hockey and the Kiwanis Ice Arena are partnering with the NY Rangers on their Junior Rangers Learn to Play hockey program.
The Junior Rangers Learn to Play program is geared to new players ages 5 to 10, looking to try hockey for the first time. Rangers staff and former Rangers players teach new players the basics of the game, in a fun environment, on Sunday mornings.
All new players receive a full set of brand new equipment, including helmet, skates, and stick. Visit this link for more information on the Junior Rangers Learn to Play program.

The Fall 2024/2025 program:
Starts on October 20, 2024
Ends on December 22, 2024
Sunday Mornings from 9:30-10:30 AM

Do you have a 9-14 year old interested in Ice Hockey this winter that isn’t playing travel level hockey?
If your child is a 10u aged player (2014 and 2015 birth years), a 12u aged player (2012 and 2013 birth years), or a 14u aged player (2010 and 2011 birth years) and has any previous ice hockey or ice skating experience then we recommend our Saugerties Youth Hockey House Program.
-Cost for full Season is $300.00
• Designed for 10u, 12u and 14u players (open to 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 birth year players)
• Focuses on age appropriate skill development
• Practices begin on November 5th and end on March 2nd
• One practice on Tuesday evenings at 5pm and one game on Sunday evenings at 7:15pm
• Jersey and hockey socks included

2024/2025 Season for 8 and Under Hockey Program registration--NOW OPEN!!--
• Cost for full Season is $300.00
• Designed for (2016 and younger birthyear) players ages 5-8 years old with some skating and hockey experience. (This experience includes completion of the Junior Rangers Learn to Play program.)
• Focuses on age appropriate skill development of the American development model.
• Practices begin October 1st 2024 and end on March 16th 2025.
• Three weekly sessions, including two weeknight skill-based sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5-6pm and one Sunday morning session of cross-ice games.
• Jersey included
