Do you have a child that wants to learn to play hockey? There's still time to join the Junior Rangers Learn to Play program, and registration is still open.
Once again Saugerties Youth Hockey and the Kiwanis Ice Arena are partnering with the NY Rangers on their Junior Rangers Learn to Play hockey program.
The Junior Rangers Learn to Play program is geared to new players ages 5 to 10, looking to try hockey for the first time. Rangers staff and former Rangers players teach new players the basics of the game, in a fun environment, on Saturday mornings. The Winter 2023/2024 session is underway, and registration is still open now!
The WINTER 2023/2024 program:
Starts on January 13, 20234 at 11:00 AM
Ends on March 23, 2024
Saturday Mornings from 11:00-12:00
Location: Kiwanis Ice Arena
Minimum age: 5 years old
Maximum age: 10 years old
Age as of: January 1, 2024

Do you have a 9-14 year old interested in Ice Hockey this winter that isn’t playing travel level hockey?
If your child is a 10u aged player (2014 and 2015 birth years), a 12u aged player (2012 and 2013 birth years), or a 14u aged player (2010 and 2011 birth years) and has any previous ice hockey or ice skating experience then we recommend our Saugerties Youth Hockey House Program.
-Cost for full Season is TBD
• Designed for 10u, 12u and 14u players (open to 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 birth year players)
• Focuses on age appropriate skill development
• Practices begin in November and end in late February
• Two weekly practices and a game
every Saturday morning.
• Jersey included

• Cost for full Season is TBD
• Designed for players ages 5-8 years old with some skating and hockey experience. (This experience includes completion of the Junior Rangers Learn to Play program.)
• Focuses on age appropriate skill development of the American development model.
• 20 week season: Practices begin in October and end in late March.
• Three weekly sessions, including two weeknight skill-based sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and one weekend session of cross-ice games.
