Fillies Program

The Saugerties Fillies are a Travel based program run by Saugerties Youth Hockey. Teams are offered at 10u, 12u,14u & 16u levels. Teams (12u and above) are eligible to participate as a TII team at the NYS hockey tournament. Additionally teams participate in the National Girls Hockey League and the Atlantic Girls Hockey Federation. Tryouts are held in March and the season runs from August to March.

• Started playing for the Fillies right at the start. I still remember the first girls open skate at Kiwanis.  
• I always loved playing for this program because I always felt welcomed and valued as a player. Growing up it was so hard for me to find a girls program nearby and I am so happy to see how much the program has grown and seeing so many girls benefit from it. 
• Competing in the Empire State Winter Games for four consecutive years (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) is still one of the biggest highlights of my youth hockey career. 
• Currently, a Senior at the University of Delaware and I play Division 2 ACHA Ice Hockey and I was just named captain at the beginning of this season. I am pursuing a bachelors in Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences in hopes to become an Occupational Therapist in the future.
